Live Music & Records at the Dumbo Jazz Loft

We have started hosting some live events at the Dumbo Jazz Loft at 25 Jay Street. Roughly once a month, the Hot Club of New York, led by Matthew Rivera, spins vintage 78s in tribute to jazz from the 1920s through early 50s, spanning traditional jazz to the bebop pioneers. Past shows have included tributes to Miles Davis, Ma Rainey and Max Roach, with records made by Okeh, Bluenote, Prestige and Paramount gracing the turntable and played through a vintage Altec Voice of the Theater speaker that belonged to the late great Phil Schaap. Hot Club shows run roughly from 7:30pm to 10:00pm, and a $25 suggested donation includes wine and snacks, with two sets of dedicated record listening.

Live jazz in the loft is also very exciting! This is a great chance to hear some of New York City’s finest musicians playing the unique space, with full bar service. The vibe has been incredible! Past shows have featured piano heavyweights Brian Charette, Jon Davis and Gary Versace. Join our email list or follow us on Instagram or Eventbrite (or check here) to keep in the loop on upcoming live events. Most of the events are at 25 Jay Street but we also occasionally host live events at the 264 Hoyt Street storefront as well.
