This warm Steinway grand dates to 1917 (serial #177379) with the original soundboard repaired and the original strings, still singing! If you love the romanticism old-world originality and the allure that it brings, this piano is for you. The action is much newer as small parts that are 110 years old will be a bit worn and in need of replacement. So this piano has the combination of the original soundboard (and the old-growth spruce wood that comes with that!) and a modern action. The finish is a medium gloss black; not perfect but elegant, like a nicely preserved and polished antique.
